Sunny Paris

Last night after working-out, my gym buddies (my cousin; Ate Kristy and my sister; Denise) and I decided to check out the night market at Colon Street. It was awesome! Two blocks were closed and all the stalls were in the middle of the street.

They sold short jeans for P85.00! The only downer is that there's no fitting room. I decided not to buy one for the moment but I'll go back there!

Anyway, the best part of the night was when we checked out the second block and found a stall full of clothes. They sold everything and I mean everything for P70.00!! Holy cow, it was crazy! Seventy pesos for a dress. Seventy pesos for a blouse. Seventy pesos for leggings/ jeggings. Seventy pesos for skirts!! But not all stocks were nice. I ended up buying two pieces. One lacey, ala Aritzia/Topshop dress and one ala Topshop high waist skirt.

This is the dress. The orange papers below it are post-its. Forgive me.:)

Dress details.

This is the ala Topshop skirt. I just tried this on and sadly, it's a bit loose. I better do something about it. Sewing skills, coming up!

Skirt details.

Oh my gosh, I have to go back there!!
Night Market ends on July 15. :)

Clinique Facial Skin Care

Today I'm going to share with you a part of my skin care routine. I decided to talk about this today since I've been really loving this product and it's been working wonders on my skin. I'm talking about the Clinique 3-Step Skin care system.

I first heard about this from my Mom. She used the toner; alone and she said it worked wonders on her skin. I saw the moisturizer bottle lying around the house and I never bothered to ask what it was. Anyway, my Auntie Joy each gave my sisters and I a box of the Clinique 3-Step Skin and since I really didn't have any other "serious" skin routine, I decided to try it out.

Okay, so I have combination skin/ Type 2 -- I have an oily T-zone (nose, chin and forehead) and my cheeks, skin around the eyes and mouth is usually normal or dry.

Inside the box, there are 3 bottles/ tubes. I'll tell you about them one by one.

Liquid facial soap (mild), Clarifying lotion, Dramatically different moisturizing lotion.

Step 1: Liquid facial soap (mild)

This is a gel-like facial wash. I find it really saturated so I use a teenie tiny bit. Pea size or less goes a long way so that's a good thing. This facial wash does not dry the skin at all. It leaves my skin really soft and kind of moisturized.

Step 2: Clarifying lotion

I just love this toner! It's absolutely amazing. Although it kind a stings, it doesn't leave my skin dry. It is incredible. My Aunt said whenever she gets pimples, what she does is, she puts clindamycin into the toner and applies it on her face. The following day, the pimple is healed. I already tried doing that but it wasn't with the Clinique toner but it still works. :)

Step 3: Dramatically different moisturizing lotion.

This stuff is great. It gives the right amount of moist my face needs and you don't need to apply much on. :)

I read reviews on the Clinique 3-Step Skin and everyone gave thumbs up on this. I do too. I just started using this two to three weeks ago; twice a day and it already made my skin better. My skin always feels fresh and clean. My pimples and pimple spots are clearing... It's just perfect. I give it 5/5. Love love love.

I Was A Bride's Maid

Indeed I was. It was for my Dad's sister, Auntie Joy's wedding. It was held on May 7, 2011 in Canon Cove, Batangas.
It was a beautiful and very intimate wedding.

The bride's maids' dresses were pick by the bride's maids themselves. It's either we buy the dresses or have them tailor made. In our case; my sisters and I, we designed our dresses then had them sewn.

Inside my Everyday Make-Up Purse Part 1

I was so excited to put my things inside my new purse. There are 22 things inside it. I'll go over it one by one. :)

Roll Call:
1.) MAC Impeccable Brow Pencil (Taupe)

I just got this hence, the box.

This is my new favorite brow pencil. It's so easy and fast to use. It doesn't take up much space and a works great. The tip is kind of moist or cream like so it stay on long. I wouldn't worry if I made a mistake, I can just use tissue to wipe it off. It's US$15.00.

2.) My Gel Ball pen (0.3)

Oh my gosh! I love this pen. It's my favorite. It's cheap; like really cheap (P21.00) and it writes smoothly. Really smooth and easy. It has refills too.

3.) Silk Secret's Oil Control Sheet (Powdered Blotting Sheet)

My sister, Dana got this at Watsons and I don't know how much this costs. This oil control sheet is powdered. Yes, powdered. So, whenever I use this, dirt and oil is removed from my face and at the same time, it looks fresh.

4.) Gingerbon (Extra Strong)

I just had laryngitis and my voice til now is a bit hoarse that's why I always see to it I bring Gingerbon and Strepsils (Sugar Free/ Honey Lemon) with me. Gingerbon is a real ginger candy and you can really taste the ginger in it. It's like eating a ginger jelly that's sweet. It works good too for laryngitis but the thing is, it has sugar which is not really advisable to take in while having laryngitis.

5.) Bijoux Terner Watch

My mom bought me this watch from the airport NAIA 3. We we're on our way back to Cebu. We decided to go around the airport and found this! We got this for P595.00 only! All I know from the brand is that it was founded in Miami, Florida. And they are usually found in airports. They don't only sell watches but they also sell bags, wallets, accessories, etc. For the watches, there are lots of designs to choose from; from women's to men's, it's crazy! I took a long time for me to decide which watch to buy. The promo at that time was if we bought 3 things at regular price, we would get one watch for free or get a 10% discount. I got a watch, my mom got one too then my sister, Dana got a wallet so we got a free watch for my other sister, Denise!
For the US price, I think it's $10.00. Luxury at P595.00.

6.) MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow (Engaging)

This eye shadow is divine. It's very light once you apply it. It's sheer and shimmery. What I do is either I put it all by itself or I apply it on top of another matte eyeshadow. I also use this as a highlighter on my cheeks. It costs US$19.50.

7.) Clinique Blush & Bronze Duo (Iced Lotus and Sunkissed)

Iced Lotus (Blush )- Sunkissed (Bronzer)

Lately, I've been using the bronzer more than the blush. Nothing's wrong with the blush but it's too pink for me. I still use it once in a while, it really depends on my mood and as to what event I'm going to. I can't find it on Clinique now but you can buy it on Ebay for US$8.00.

8.) Fashion 21 Single Blush-On (1)

Find out more about this blush (I already talked about this) here. :)

See you in Part 2!

My New Everyday Make-Up Purse

I got a new purse for my make up. Finally. My Aunt who I call Mommy Bebot gave me this. It's an Estee Lauder Red Cosmetics Bag. I love it. It fits all my stuff. It's crazy.

It's around 7"(length), 4" (height), 2" (width).

I love the texture and material used.

HAHA I still have the plastic around the zipper handle.

Before I had this, I used a Clinique purse also from Mommy Bebot. I used this for like 1 and a half years. I loved it so much I used it that I didn't want to use anything else. No once have I ever washed it. HAHA

Dirtyyyyy

It's a pink and white floral bag. It's more or less 6" (length), 3"(height), 2"(width).

I think I'm having separation anxiety from "letting go" of this purse. But I really love my new one. The Clinique Purse is pretty but the Estee Lauder Purse is sexy.

For me, the Clinique purse is more practical to use as and everyday makeup bag but the thing is, I bring a lot of stuff. Too much stuff. So the Estee Lauder purse is more appropriate for me.

What do you think?

I'm not sure about the prices but I checked some online stores.
White and Pink Floral Clinique Purse is being sold for $5.00 at Etsy.
$3.99 at Beauty Encounter.
$7.99 at Amazon.
P299.00 at Sulit.

Estee Lauder Red Cosmetics Bag is being sold at $12.00 at Yes Style.
$9.90 at The Pretty Face.

Sly As A Fox

I finally tried the Aunt-given MAC nail-polish. It's called Sly As A Fox and it has a brownish-red color. I find it nice but too mature for me. I think I shall wear it on a job interview on something. I love how MAC calls their nail polish "Nail Lacquer"! :)

It's really easy and smooth to apply and so far, it's still on my nails which is a good sign since I have been washing the dishes, cooking, going to the gym, etc. It doesn't chip off easily. Another good thing about it is that it makes your skin look lighter. Okay, I don't know if that's really a good thing or not, but I have fair skin and applying this makes it look lighter.

I don't know how much it really costs since my Aunt gave it to me but I check it out and they say it's $13. That's around P520.00. My Aunt bought it for C$5!! And it came with other stuff too. I think she bought it at a cause for cancer or something like that that's why it's cheap. I'll talk about the other things that came with it soon. :)

Papa's Reward

Yesterday, my dad decided to buy me something as a reward for baking cookies. First, I just asked for a new concealer cause mine was dying. He said yes. Then I asked if I could also get new blush on, he said yes again. And then, my mom asked my dad to get me a new blush brush and he said yes. I ended up with three new things. :)

Roll call:

1.) e.l.f. All Over Cover Stick (Honey 3202)

I got this for only P129.75! Cheap eh? Aaand, I love it. It's really smooth and blends really well. I first read about this at my friend's tumbler account. Roselle Camay's "it's RC". I've been liking e.l.f. ever since I tried their Two-Way Cake. It works as a powder and foundation, and it's really affordable too. Anyway, e.l.f. which stands for eyes lips face is a New York Brand and has a wide range of make-ups to choose from.

2.) e.l.f. Total Face Brush

It also costs P129.75. It has really soft bristles and I use it for applying blush ons, loose powder and bronzer. I got the 3" so it's really handy.

3.) Fashion 21 Single Blush-On (1)

P125.00 only. I got it in a peachy color and it's perfect. It has a bit of shimmer which makes it better. And oh, did I mention Fashion21 is Philippine made? Good. Good.

I'll soon talk about the old stuff I had before I got these. :)
